Welcome to the 2009-2010 EERA Directory and Website. Here you will find some of the leading manufacturers’ representatives in the Utility Industry today, covering the United States, Puerto Rico and Canada. Our members represent the leading manufacturers of electrical equipment and associated products in this industry. On behalf of our membership I wish to thank those manufacturers represented here for supporting our members and the Utility Industry at large. As was said many times on these pages over the years, “we are here to serve and grow your business to our mutual benefit”.

A bit of nostalgia if you don’t mind. The EERA was founded in 1947 by 7 reps, lead by J. Leo Scanlon in the lobby of the Roosevelt Hotel in New York City, during the old A.I.E.E Winter Meeting (now the IEEE Winter/Summer Power Meeting). These men saw a need to “gather together periodically, discuss their mutual problems, devise more efficient sales methods and thereby evolve better ways to serve their customers and the manufacturers they represent”. Not much has changed since that day over 62 years ago. We still meet once a year to discuss the latest technologies and business practices that will allow the over 94 members and their employees to professionally and profitably serve this industry. I invite you to read our Aims & Purposes, listed on these pages, that have not changed since our founding.
